Film Opening Storyboard

I drew the first five storyboards, Kayla drew the second five, and Olivia and Skylar wrote out the descriptions/camerawork of each shot. We decided to make the story into a classic serial-killer-movie so this opening is all about building suspense. It follows a girl in the woods as she's being hunted by a masked man and her desperate attempt to escape him.

Storyboard Project:

Olivia:

1: It opens on a close up on a pair of feet slowly walking through the forest, the sound of footsteps echoing through the many trees. Camera angle: low angle close up shot.

2: It cuts to her looking around frantically seeing the fear in her eye as she hears something walking up behind her. Camera angle: eye level extreme close up.

3: As she turns around she sees a masked man standing behind her wielding a knife covered in the blood of his victims. Camera angle: eye level medium shot

4: As she tries to run away from a crazy man it cuts to her tripping over a rock and falling on to the ground. Camera angle: low angle close up shot

5: She looks back to see him walking closer to her, his eye meeting with hers as she fears for the worst. Camera angle: eye level wide shot.

Sky:

6: He stares at her breathing heavily through his distorted mask. The trees sway quietly all around them. All she can hear is him. Camera angle: low angle shot, close up.

7: Frantically she pats the floor around her looking for anything that might help her. He watches as she helplessly feels around the dirt. Camera angle: Establishing shot.

8: Almost cutting her hand she finds a broken bottle on the floor, must've been there from the night before. Maybe he couldn't see her through the mask as she grabbed the sharp object right near his feet. Camera angle: close up.

9: She wastes no time as soon as she picks up the bottle she projects it right into his leg. As she drops the now bloody piece of glass, she hears his let out a wail. Camera angle: close up.

10: As he falls back in pain, breathing more heavily through his mask, she gets up and makes her run for it. Camera angle: two shot.

11: Not bothering to look back she runs to a side gate from another property nearby. The first house she's seen in miles, she hopes there will be somebody there who can help her. Camera angle: rear shot.
